Now in its 26th year, PVNews is the PV industry's oldest newsletter. Last year marked a transition for the publication, with the newly formed partnership between Paul Maycock and the Prometheus Institute, a non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of solar energy and other socially-beneficial sustainable technologies.

As the new publisher of PVNews, Prometheus has maintained the historic purpose of the newsletter—to provide industry participants with news stories from around the world on companies, markets, and technologies. We have also broadened the scope of the newsletter by adding more content in the form of in-depth stories, interviews and region-specific articles. For the last quarter century, PVNews has been an important resource for the PV industry; Prometheus Institute has continued and enhanced this tradition.

As of the August 2007 issue, Prometheus and Paul Maycock have joined forces with Greentech Media to continue to expand the breadth and reach of PVNews, as well as to increase options for subscribers.
