Paul Maycock has been the President of Photovoltaic Energy Systems, Inc. since 1981. PVES performs strategic planning, prospectus improvement, due diligence, market research, team development, manufacturing cost analysis, and technical information in the field of photovoltaic energy conversion. Paul was Editor of PV News from 1982 through 2006, and is now Editor Emeritus. He also publishes industry reports: World PV Markets and Photovoltaic Technology, Performance, and Cost.
From 1975-1981, he directed the Photovoltaic Energy Systems Division of the US Department of Energy. At Texas Instruments, from 1964-1975, Maycock served as Director, Strategic Planning, Consumer Products Group. Maycock received the Paul Rappaport Award for a lifetime of service to the Photovoltaic community. Maycock serves as the non-paid Chairman of the Board of the Solar Electric Light Fund and as President of Solar Light for Africa.
Alex Lewin graduated from Harvard with a degree in math, and has been in technology ever since. He has worked in different roles on a range of projects from consumer electronics to supercomputers. Most recently, he worked on e-commerce at Yahoo!, and on computer-based investment tools at Smartleaf in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Sustainable energy brings together his interests in technology, science, industry, and social justice. He is designing the information infrastructure for the Institute; he is also using his analytical skills and technical training to research sustainable development and sustainable energy.
Allison is a New-York based consultant for and supporter of the Prometheus Institute. She is a marketing executive with significant experience in all facets of integrated marketing, including defining strategy, developing capabilities, optimizing technology and delivering an outstanding customer experience. Her industries of influence include banking, communications, and hospitality. Allison is currently the Director of Loyalty Marketing for The Leading Hotels of the World.
Gita is Special Projects Coordinator for the League of Young Voters, Vice-President of the Threshold Foundation and also serves on the boards of the Collage Foundation and Justice NOW. Previously, she was a Co-Founder and Co-Director of The Active Element Foundation, an organization created to support youth activism across the United States which published the first directory of youth organizing, The Future 500. Gita worked as a Program Associate at the Echoing Green foundation and a Program Officer at the Blessing Way Foundation. While at Blessing Way, she co-founded the Critical Resistance: Beyond the Prison Industrial Complex national conference. Gita also served on the board of the Third Wave Foundation, where she was a founding organizer of Making Money Make Change, an annual gathering for young people with wealth exploring the intersection of philanthropy and social change. On the side, Gita is an aspiring trapeze artist.
